MULTIFILLA FIBRE REACTIVE POWDER DYES

Multifilla fibre reactive powder dyes Are high quality REMAZOL dyes made in Germany, packaged by Multifilla in Malaysia for the Asian batik industry.
Silk Wholesalers are now the importer and sole Australian Agent.

For additional safety they are now a free flowing granulated dyestuff, especially de-dusted reactive powder dye. By careful handling, dust can be suppressed almost completely. However, you may still prefer to wear a face mask when handling the dry powder.

These dyes can be inter-mixed with each other, and should also mix well with any other fibre reactive powder dye. Use as in any Fibre Reactive Dye recipe.

FOR USE ON: All natural fabrics, silk, cotton, linen and wool.

FIXATION: STEAM for a minimum of 45 minutes or MICROWAVE for 4 - 6 min on high.
Easily COLD FIXED by using SODIUM SILICATE paste. We bottle our own to vastly reduce the cost of the commercially available product

INSTRUCTIONS:
For best results, new silk should be PRE WASHED (scoured) to eliminate the naturally occurring Sericin, a gum like residue left from the silk worm. This can act as a resist to the dye. Silk purchased from Silk Wholesalers are natural silks and are free from any manufacturing additives such as stiffeners, lustre agents, softeners or other coatings.

For hand painting or batik, dye powder should be mixed with warm water in a ratio of HALF A TEASPOON of POWDER (use a measure spoon or scale) to 100 ml WATER. Stir well. Dilute for a less concentrated colour. Mixed dyes, without added chemicals or alkali, can be kept for long periods of time. Store in a cool, dark place.

Allow fabric to dry and fix by any of the above methods.
