Student Sponsorship Scheme 2011
In an effort to support the inspirational work of young emerging West Australian textile artists, we offer encouragement in the form of sponsoring a student each year. Information and past award winners can be seen on our website.
Selection will soon be taking place for work achieved in the current academic year by an enrolled student in years 11 and 12. This scheme has now been opened to tertiary students studying at WA Polytechnic and Universities.
Teachers are encouraged to inform their students about this scheme at the beginning of each year. Invite Silk Wholesalers to attend end of year textile exhibitions; we are always on the lookout for young talented textilists, and often invite applications.
Anyone interested in nominating themselves, a friend, a promising student are invited to do so. All applications from third parties must be supported by a letter of interest from the student.
